Your Screenshots Are Private

Shotglow processes all images entirely in your browser using the HTML Canvas API. Your screenshots are never uploaded to our servers or any third party. We cannot see, access, or store your images.

What We Store

Shotglow uses your browser's localStorage to save:

  • Your preferences (default background, frame style, shadow settings)
  • Daily export count (for free tier limit tracking)
  • Pro license state (activated via Polar/auth service)
  • Saved presets (Pro users only)
  • Cookie consent preference

This data never leaves your browser. We cannot access it.

Authentication

If you purchase Pro or sign in, we use a shared authentication service (auth.cashewcrate.com) that stores your email address and subscription status. This is the only personal data we hold.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the site is used. Analytics are configured with Google Consent Mode v2 — no tracking cookies are set until you explicitly consent via the cookie banner. If you reject cookies, analytics operate in cookieless mode (aggregate data only, no personal identifiers).

Advertising

Free users may see Google AdSense advertisements. Ads are only loaded after you consent to cookies via the banner. Pro users and Crate Pass users see no ads. We do not run targeted advertising based on your screenshots — we cannot access them.

Cookies

We use the cashewcrate-cookie-consent localStorage key to remember your cookie preference. Google Analytics and AdSense cookies are only set after explicit consent.

Third Parties

  • Polar — Payment processing. Handles billing and subscription management.
  • Google Analytics — Aggregate site usage analytics (with consent).
  • Google AdSense — Advertising for free-tier users (with consent).
  • Cloudflare — Hosting and CDN delivery.

Data Deletion

Since we don't store your images, there's nothing to delete. To remove local preferences, clear your browser's localStorage for this site. To delete your account data, email [email protected].
